DESCRIPTION OF THE MINISTRY
The Ministry of Pastoral Council is to assist the pastor or the appointed leadership in discerning the will of God for the parish at this time through the wisdom of the graced community.
“A pastoral council possesses a consultative vote only and is governed by the norms established by the diocesan bishop.” CANON 536 §2
MEMBERS OF THE COUNCIL STRIVE FOR UNITY OF THE PARISH
Members of the Council are to be attuned to the members of the community to be able to communicate the needs of the parish.
Membership: Appointed or elected members are selected to ensure adequate representation of all segments in the parish.
